The sequel to the hit movie “Drumline” is now in production and a new casting call for extras has been released.
The film is shooting in the Atlanta area and is seeking many paid extras of all types.
Drumline 2 will be the sequel to the film that came out over a decade ago. The original “Drumline” movie was directed by Charles Stone III and starred Nick Cannon as a young drummer who joins a college band. The sequel is in production now. In the first film, the story was set at a fictional, yet, historically Black College with a very competitive college matching band. “Drumline” was based on a story written by by Tina Gordon Chism and Shawn Schepps. The film also starred Leonard Roberts, Zoe Saldana, and Orlando Jones.
The new film will also be set in college and this time the main character will be Brooklyn resident Dani Bolton. Dani comes from an upper class background, when she decides to attend a New Orleans University with a high profile marching band, she runs into a few enemies and resistance. Dani also finds romance with her chief rival at another marching band across town.
The casting directors at CL casting are seeking the below types for scenes that will be filming next week and the week after.
