The FOX show ‘Empire’ has a casting notice out for Extras to play inmates
The new season of FOX’s hit television series “Empire” is beginning production on season 2 and has a call out for some background actors who can play some tough inmate types.
The shows casting directors are now casting a core group of background extras ages 18 to 65 who have a very flexible schedule and are available to work multiple days throughout season 2. The show needs both male and female talent of all ethnicities. Talent applying must be local to the Chicago area and have a valid Illinois issued government ID in order to be considered.
Lee Daniels (“Lee Daniels’ The Butler,” “Precious”) and Danny Strong (“Lee Daniels’ The Butler,” “Game Change”) are working on season 2 of FOX’s “Empire”. The series is described as, a sexy and powerful new drama series about the inner workings of a family run Hip Hop record label. “Empire” stars Terrence Howard, Taraji P. Henson and Gabourey Sidibe. Terrence Howard (“Hustle & Flow”) plays Lucious, the music mogul and head of the Hip Hop empire he created. But things are not on the up and up here. Lucious is an ex thug with a tainted past and after he finds out he is sick and getting sicker, he must find someone in his family to take the reigns. Lucious has 3 sons that he is trying to groom for the position, none of which he believes can actually take over successfully.

A big fan of the show. I’m very interested in becoming an extra in the new season of “Empire”. I have done some plays in college but nothing major on Broadway etc.. currently I am a Private Banker for a financial institution.
