Get in a movie – Background actors wanted in Albuquerque New Mexico for ID2 – Extras & Featured Extras
20 years after the aliens landed, a new wave is approaching… and this time, it’s gonna take 2 films to defeat them. If you live in NM, here is a chance to be part of the new “Independence Day” movie. The film’s extras casting directors at OLC are seeking kids, teens and adults for a scene filming next week in the Albuquerque New Mexico area.
The movie’s casting directors are seeking talent to play pedestrians, kids / teens on bikes and dads with their kids. This will work on Monday and casting directors do not have call times yet. The scenes are filming in Albuquerque and only talent that is local to the area will be considered. They will not be accepting any talent from out of state on this one. So please, only apply if you live in the area and available for 8+ hours on the listed dates.
“Independence Day 2“, being called “Independence Day Forever” will be split into 2 parts. “Independence Day Forever Part 1” is filming now and scheduled to be released in theaters in the summer of 2016. According to the film’s IMDB page, ID2 has an enormous budget of $200,000,000. Starring in “Independence Day 2: Independence Day Forever” are Jeff Goldblum, Vivica A. Fox, Bill Pullman, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Liam Hemsworth, Travis Tope and Jessie Usher. There was question about whether Will Smith would be returning…. seems that he will not.
According to Geeksnack, Thor’s brother (Chris Hemsworth’s bro, Liam) will actually be replacing Will Smith as the lead in ID2. Most of the original cast returns to fight the aliens, but Will will not be joining that fight in this one. The younger brother of Chris Hemsworth, Liam, will be the one kicking some alien butt in the sequel. By the way… Captain America 3 is also now filming and casting extras.
The original “Independence Day” movie came out in the summer of 1996. The sequel is set exactly 20 years later in 2016. 20 years after the initial 4th of July attack, a new swarm of ships arrive at Earth. The new ships are following up on a distress call sent 2 decades back and coming to find out what happened to their comrades. Obviously, the new wave of aliens is not going to be too happy with the earthlings that defeated them years ago and a new battle for humanities survival will begin.
