MTV is currently filming the TV series “Scream“, based on the “Scream” movie franchise.
Central Casting has just released a new casting call for the Baton Rouge area. The show’s CD’s at Central are seeking extras, men and women, 18+, who look younger and can play high school students in an upcoming scene filming in July. MTV’s Scream show will be filming a Halloween scene and is looking to cast locals who have some great, generic, Halloween costumes that they would be able to wear in the scenes. The show’s casting directors are asking talent interested in working on the show send in pictures ASAP of themselves in non-trademarked Halloween costumes. Examples include: Angel, Devil, Witch, Monster, Cowboy/Cowgirl, Police, etc.
The “Scream” TV series called “Hush” will start with a video that goes viral. The video somehow leads to a murder spree.…. “What starts as a YouTube video going viral, soon leads to problems for the teenagers of Lakewood and serves as the catalyst for a murder that opens up a window to the town’s troubled past.” MTV announced plans for the new Scream series around last Halloween over twitter. The new show stars Willa Fitzgerald (“Alpha House,” “Royal Pains”), Amy Forsyth (“Torment,” “Reign”), John Karna, Carlson Young (“Key and Peele,” “The Kroll Show”) and Amadeus Serafini. The series pilot is directed by Jamie Travis (MTV’s “Faking It”). Wes Craven, the film series creator, is one of the executive producers on the show.
