Spike Lee’s newest film “Chiraq” is still filming in the Chicagoland area and looking for background actors to play National Guard troops
4 Star Casting in Chicago is looking to cast Caucasian, male extras between the ages of 21 and 50 for a scene filming early tomorrow morning. 4 Star Casting are also seeking background actors for another project, FOX’s “Empire” show. The Oscar-nominated filmmaker will be focusing on Black-on-Black violence in the film with a focus on Chicago’s South side. Cast members include Kanye West, Jeremy Piven, Samuel L. Jackson and hip-hop artist Common. The title, “Chiraq” refers to a time (2003–2011) when the murder rate in Chicago was higher than the casualty count in the Iraq war which left more Americans dead in the city than in the war zone. The film’s title has been an area of controversy in the city. Some local council members and the Mayor oppose the title fearing that the word “Chiraq” has a negative feel to it and does not represent the Chicago of today.

I would like to audition for chiraq the movie..because I’m from Chicago 1st off & I know the truth, my city is like a war zone. I am partially part of the movement on why my city the way it is. I believe I would be a good asset to the movie.. It is like 1st hand and from a clear eye view. I have lost a lot to chiraq but I have gained also. What i mean by that is from my weaknesses & pain I became stronger & wiser so take the time out to interview me and get to know more about me. I believe you would want to give me a role in the movie. I have a 9 year old daughter that is good at acting and has a great smile. I would like her to become a successful young women and I want her to grow as a person, to be able to help others and have fun.
