Baywatch Movie Cast Call in Georgia

The “Baywatch” movie is moving right along and has just released another casting call for extras who would like to work on set in the Savannah Georgia area this week.

Looks like things are moving fast on the production and casting directors with Rose Locke Casting are seeking even more local talent to work as paid background extras. There are quite a few new roles that have been released and looks like the project may be wrapping up their Savannah beach scenes shortly as the casting notice below is looking for folks for the “final beach days.”

The “Baywatch” remake has been filming for quite a few weeks now.  The upcoming film is a comedic take on the 90’s classic TV series and it stars Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron as, you guessed it, lifeguards. Alexandra Daddario has been cast in the lead female role.  Efron and Johnson will be playing 2 competing lifeguards on a sunny California beach. The film is not actually filming most of the scenes in sunny Cali.  Actually, it looks like most of the beach scenes have been filming on the east coast in the Miami and Savannah areas.   It is Hollywood and Hollywood certainly has a way for making any location look like somewhere else.

Rumor… and photos leaked from the set, have claimed that some of the old Baywatch stars will also be making appearances in the remake.   The film’s IMDB page recently added both  David Hasselhoff and Pam Anderson to the films cast. The Baywatch Twitter page actually posted a great shot of Dwayne Johnson and Pam Anderson on set.

The new “Baywatch” movie is being directed by Seth Gordon and is scheduled for a May 17, 2017 release date.

For those too young to remember,  the original “Baywatch” TV show was a prime time, NBC,  soap opera that starred David Hasselhoff, Pamela Anderson, Yasmine Bleeth and many others. The long running show ran from 1989 to 2001. “Baywatch” followed Veteran lifeguard Mitch Buchannon (David Hasselhoff) as he managed a team of ever changing younger lifeguards working on a sunny beach in California.
