DIY’s America’s Most Desperate Landscape

Location: Nationwide

Type: Reality TV

Now Casting for America’s Most Desperate Landscape – Backyard Edition!

For the first time ever, DIY’s Jason Cameron is looking looking for dreadful, chaotic, overgrown, absolutely hopeless and desperate backyards for America’s Most Desperate Landscape.

Jason and his team will bring a massive two-day transformation to your backyard. Think building decks and pergolas, fences and walkways, and much more. Got a pathetic pool? Jason would love to tackle that, too!

Is your backyard desperate enough for a total transformation? We want to hear from you.

Entry Guidelines:

1. In your email, include your name, contact info and short explanation about yourself, your yard and why we should select you for AMDL.

2. Three pictures of your back yard – make sure they are wide shots (25MB email limit on the pictures.)

3. Brief video* showcasing your yard and your personality. Shooting on a smart phone? Hold the phone horizontally. Post the video on YouTube and send us a link.

*You need to show us your desperation… your desperate yard and show us your personality and why we should bring the AMDL team to your home for the biggest backyard landscape invasion of the year. *

  1. Rosemary Voigtlaender

Hi. My name is Rosemary Voigtlaender and we live in Jensen, Utah. My husband grew up in Germany and always lived in apartments. He always wanted some land of his own so about 10 years ago we moved from the city to the country. We have a two acre property that we have done what we can to but we have a slope that extends across the entire front of our yard and we have no idea what to do with it. We were able to pour a patio in the back but there is no shade so it makes it very hard to sit outside. We have a big, unsightly propane take that needs some screening and a driveway that heaves in the winter. My husband is now 81 and I am 71 and it is very hard to do things anymore. We would be so thankful if Desperate Landscapes could help us with our property. Thank you so much for your consideration. It is now 2022 so I’m not sure if you are doing this anymore but thought I would give it a try.

  2. Vernell Johnson

Hi I am Vernell D Johnson. I would like to be on the show. I have a huge backyard and I would love to do something for my wife.

  3. Cynthia neff

Hi my name is Cindy, this had been a very long year so far. I’ve been having many health issues, the most recent is skin cancer. I love my back porch and pool but I won’t be able to use it much this summer because I need to get it shaded so I can enjoy it. I don’t have the money to get it done. If you need a project, I sure would be very humbled to have your show to pick me.
