A new casting call is out for Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy 2“
The “Guardians of the Galaxy” sequel is in production and filming in Atlanta this spring. The movie released a new casting in ATL for a male photo double available to work in Atlanta next week. Casting directors at Tammy Smith, are seeking Caucasian male photo double ages 35 to 65 who is 5’10 to 6′ in height. They are requesting that interested Atlanta area talent send in their photos and contact info, ASAP, to be considered.
The sequel to Guardians of the Galaxy is one of 3 movies that Marvel Studios is planning to release in 2017. The “Guardians” sequel is filming in Atlanta’s Pinewood studio which is also where Marvel’s Ant-Man filmed in 2014.
“Guardians of the Galaxy 2” is being directed by James Gunn and according to the “Guardians of the Galaxy 2” IMDB page, is set to hit theaters on May 5th 2017.
The sequel will bring back the intergalactic crew of misfits AKA The Guardians of the Galaxy as well as bring in some new faces. Chris Pratt returns in the sequel as Peter Quill AKA Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana resumes her role as the green skinned Gamora, Bradley Cooper returns as the voice of Rocket Raccoon, Vin Diesel is back to voice Groot or at least, the 3 words in Groot’s vocabulary, Benicio Del Toro returns as The Collector, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Sean Gunn as Kraglin , Pom Klementieff will play Mantis. and Dave Bautista plays Drax The Destroyer. Also starring in the Guardians sequel is Kurt Russell, who, according to Screenrant, will be playing Star Lords father.
