Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy 2” is now filming around the Atlanta area and looking to cast some more paid movie extras.
If you live in Atlanta and have a flexible schedule with a day to spare, here is a chance to get cast in a small, non-speaking role in the upcoming Marvel film “Guardians of the Galaxy 2”
The film’s casting directors are looking for a group of men and women who would like to work as paid extras on the “Guardians of the Galaxy” set early next month. Atlanta’s Tammy Smith Casting is seeking some upscale looking ladies between the ages of 35 and 60, of all ethnicities as well as a younger crowd of 18 to 30 year olds. The call is out for talent living in the Atlanta area who have a flexible schedule and are able to come in for a fitting later this week and work a day on set either next week or the week after.
The “Guardians” sequel has been filming for many weeks now at Georgia’s Pinewood studio complex. “Guardians of the Galaxy 2” is planning a 2017 release and Marvel also has 2 other films (Spider-Man and another Thor film) in the works that will be coming out that same year. “Guardians 2” is being directed by James Gunn and according to the “Guardians of the Galaxy 2“ IMDB page, is set to hit theaters on May 5th 2017 in Imax and 3D.
The intergalactic group of unlikely heroes are coming back for round 2 and this time rumor has it that the film will focus on Peter Quill (AKA Starlord) learning more about his dad . Marvel Comics “Guardians of the Galaxy part 2” is produced by Marvel Studios with Walt Disney Pictures distributing the film. The upcoming action packed feature is the follow up to 2014’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” which was a huge hit with Marvel fans. The ensemble cast features Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn, Glenn Close, Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki, Chris Sullivan, and Kurt Russell who will be playing Starlord’s father.
The sequel was officially announced at San Diego Comic-Con back in 2014. Marvel already knew the film would be a hit as the sequel was actually announced before the original “Guardians of the Galaxy” even premiered at the theaters.
