Open Casting Calls for Marvel’s “Avengers” Movies

Would you love to be cast in a small role in the upcoming “Avengers” movies?

If you live in or around the Atlanta area you definitely have a chance. Marvel is filming the next set of “Avengers” flicks back to back.  The next Avengers film is being split up into 2 parts. The films are currently called “Avengers Infinity War Part 1” and “Avengers Infinity War Part 2.” A previous press release from Marvels head honchos did mention that the 2 upcoming “Avengers” films will most likely be renamed before they are scheduled to hit theaters. The movies casting team is holding daily open calls for area locals who would love to be cast in a small, background role.  Actual production dates are not listed but the casting notice does state that the films will be in production for most of 2017.

According to the entertainment site, Cinemablend,  Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige did give a bit of insight into the plots of the upcoming films. Feige mentioned that “everything we’ve seen so far in the comic book movie world has been building towards an epic big screen battle against the alien warlord known as Thanos, and that huge event will unfold across two huge blockbusters: 2018’s The Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 and 2019’s The Avengers: Infinity War Part 2.

The upcoming “Avengers” film has a huge list of stars attached and will be combining the casts from other Marvel movies such as “Doctor Strange,” “Guardians of the Galaxy” and previous “Avengers” movies.

The star studded cast of “Infinity War” will include Brie Larson as Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel, Chris Pratt is set to play his “Guardians of the Galaxy” character, Star Lord, Scarlett Johansson reprises her role as Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow, Benedict Cumberbatch is cast to play Doctor Strange, Chris Hemsworth will once again play Thor, Karen Gillan is rumored to portray Nebula, Zoe Saldana plays her “Guardians” role of Gamora, Elizabeth Olsen is set to play Scarlet Witch, Sebastian Stan reprises his Winter Soldier role, Iron Man Robert Downey Jr. and Captain America Chris Evans will both reprise their roles. Also part of the cast are Evangeline Lilly who is rumored to be playing Wasp, Samuel L. Jackson returns as Nick Fury, Tom Holland is in as Spider-Man and Bradley Cooper is set to voice Rocket.

Extras casting information for Marvel’s Avengers

The Marvel film will be shooting in the Atlanta area and now casting Atlanta locals who would like to work as paid background actors, featured extras and stand-ins.

AvengersInfinity War Part 1” is due out in May of 2018 and “Avengers: Infinity War Part 2” will follow in May of 2019. Actual filming dates and work dates for background actors are not yet known. While it seems production may still be some time away, casting directors for “The Avengers” are looking to get a jump start on casting as talent will be hand picked by the director for many small roles.

Those interested in getting cast as an extra or featured extra on “Avengers Infinity War” can come by Central’s office, located in Atlanta, between 10 AM and 2 PM on any weekday in order to be added to the database and complete the application process. Please note that you must come into the office in order to be considered. Central is only seeking talent that is local to the Atlanta area and will not be taking any online submissions.
