SOON is a short film about a man and a woman, both forced to grow up way too fast in the lives they’ve chosen. With choices comes consequence and the two, Charity and David, have to make a decision: live separately or die together.

It is a story about falling fast, hitting the ground hard and making the ultimate choice.

Three Day Commitment (1 Rehearsal, 2 Shoot Days)

Character Breakdown of Roles Available:

CHARITY: Lead. Female. 18-26.
Ascending childhood by pursuing a “career” in the streets, her life experience exceeds her years of age. Even so, she still has a soft heart and wants a better life.

DAVID: Lead. Male. 18-26.
Seeking respect from a crime-filled neighborhood, he’s a bright young man filled with a dramatic idealism. His genuine heart contradicts his all-or-nothing approach to life.

FLORA: Supporting. Female. 16-18.
Loyal employee, turned best friend to Charity. She’s been around the block and can stand up for herself, even with the worst of clients. Vengeful and ultimately self-serving.

SHANE: Supporting. Male. 25+.
Head of security at Club Tempest. Big bouncer type with inklings of a genuine heart and personality. Still rough around the edges and involved in the crime world. He loves Flora.

MR. SERANO: Featured. Male. 30+.
Mob boss bent on ruining David and Charity’s businesses. Vile and slick like a snake. Frequents Club Tempest.

EMMA: Featured. Female. 14-18.
The definition of innocence. Held under Charity’s wing. Holds a tender place in Charity’s heart. She’s the perfect victim. Pure.

MINOR SPEAKING: Various. Any Age.
There are a handful of minor speaking roles.

EXTRAS: Club Patrons. 18+
Bartender(s), dancers, wall-flowers, gangsters, bouncers, dealers, etc. People ready to look good and have fun!

EXTRAS: Various. Any Age.
Pedestrians, cashier(s), police officer(s), business professionals, etc. People to fill in the world.
