Casting Call for CMT’s “Nashville” in TN

A new season of the country music drama “Nashville”  is now in production.

The show is now casting extras, featured extras, photo doubles and stand-ins Nashville area.

Fans of the country music drama will get to see another season of “Nashville.”  ABC cancelled the show after season 4, but now, CMT has picked it up. “Nashville” made the move to CMT beginning at season 5 and is now filming new episodes for the CMT Network in Tennessee.

If you live in Nashville and would like to make a few extras bucks by working as paid background actors… read on.  Casting directors for the show recently released a casting notice for lots of different types that are needed in the coming weeks.  The show films in Nashville Tennessee  and will only be considering talent that is local to the area.

“Nashville” is set in the Tennessee music scene and focuses on  2 female country music singers, Rayna Jaymes and Juliette Barnes.  The show follows the country music stars as they navigate both their personal and professional lives.   “Nashville” stars Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere. According to Variety, there may be questions about Britton’s status on the CMT series. While Panettiere is in for the full season which is 22 episodes long, Britton is not.  Entertainment Weekly reported that Britton is currently only signed up to do 11 episode which is 1/2 the season.

–This will be our last FULL week of booking background for the show “Nashville” – although we will have one additional FINAL day that we will post for next week. If you want to work on the show – now is your chance! –This week is going to be very hectic and stressful for our department so PLEASE don’t submit for or accept any bookings that you are not 100% certain you intend to show up for. We won’t have time to deal with last minute cancellations and no-shows–

We do not yet have any Call Times so you would need to be fully available all day on the date(s) you submit for regardless of what the final call/wrap times end up being. PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT to this booking if you are not 100% fully available and committed to work!

PAY RATE for EXTRA roles is $64.00 for 8 hours ($8/hr with an 8 hour guarantee) and time and half past 8 hours. You will receive a check in the mail approx. 14-16 business days (not counting weekends/holidays). Payroll is handled by an outside company, OLC is not responsible for your check.

Location is in the NASHVILLE, TN area.

EXTRAS –there are far too many specific roles to list, so if you submit for a specific work date – we will expect you to accept the role that we feel you are best suited for and/or what is available at the time we receive your submission (some of these roles will be performance audience so you MUST be willing to work as Audience!) You are welcome to submit for as many work dates as you are for sure able to attend and we will do our best to accommodate your requests but may not be able to book you for all of your selected dates. If you can only work one date but are available for multiple – please specify your choices in order of preference. WE WILL ASSUME YOU ARE AVAILABLE FOR ALL DATES LISTED IN YOUR SUBMISSION! If your availability changes after you have submitted, please revise or withdraw your submission so that others can have your space.
