Casting Call for Comedy movie
The movie “Instant Family” is now in production in the Atlanta area and casting calls are out for area locals that would like to work as paid background actors. Mark Wahlberg, Rose Byrne and Octavia Spencer star in the Paramount Pictures comedy about a couple that find themselves in over their heads after they make a decision to adopt 3 kids.
Octavia Spencer recently starred in the Oscar winning film, The Shape of Water and is cast to play a social worker in “Instant Family“. Also staring in the movie are Isabela Moner (“Transformers: The Last Knight“) Tom Segura, Iliza Shlesinger, and comedian Tig Notaro. Rose Byrne stars opposite Mark Wahlberg.
The pair plays Pete and Ellie, the couple who adopts the, not so well behaved children that they adopt through the foster care system. Isabela Moner plays one of the foster care kids, Lizzy. Julianna Gamiz and Gustavo Quiroz are cast to play the other 2 foster care kids. Comedian Tig Notaro will also play a play social worker. Tom Segura has been cast to play Russ, Ellie’s brother-in-law.
According to IMDB, “Instant Family” is being Directed by Sean Anders (Daddy’s Home) from a script he wrote along with writer John Morris. Producing the movie are Sean Anders, John Morris, Mark Wahlberg and Steve Levinson.
