New Cast Call out for CW’s “Black Lightning” TV Series in the ATL

Another casting call is out for the upcoming Black Lighting TV show.

The CW Network is looking at another comic book inspired TV series. The network has ordered a TV pilot for DC Comic’s Black Lightning and if the pilot gets picked up for series it will join other CW comic based shows Supergirl, Arrow and The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow in this year’s lineup. Seems that the show is now filming in the Atlanta area because new castings are now out.  The pilot filmed back in the spring and now it seems that the show is in production.

Black Lightning is filming the pilot in the Atlanta area and now casting folks that would love to work as paid extras on the “Black Lightning”  set this month.  Black Lightning” began filming earlier this year and will continue filming for some more weeks. Black Lightning is one of quite a few pilots and TV shows filming in the Atlanta area last spring and is picked up to series.

Black Lightning”  is created by Greg Berlanti who has a relationship with the CW and has worked with the network on their other comic hero inspired shows,  Supergirl, Arrow and The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow.

Black Lightning cast

Cress Williams has been cast as Jefferson Pierce also known as Black Lightning and Christine Adams will play opposite Cress Williams as Lynn Pierce.

Originally, the show looked like it would land on FOX but according to Deadline, that deal fell through opening the door for CW to bring another Berlanti comic inspired TV series into the fold. I would like to be informed of Extra Castings when they become available.

How often are these casting calls reported? I’ve been trying to get on Black Lightning since casting began, but the notices usually come hours before shooting time.

This an a casting call for extras. Extras casting is usually very short notice. Sometimes castings are for the same day or next day.

No, this is from today, 2/22/2018.

Castings for ongoing shows or renewed seasons simply get updated with the current needs. The dates in the original show description do get overlooked at times and may not be updated. The casting notices are up to date. Many shows have ongoing casting needs and the actual casting notice part, just keeps getting replaced with new info. Go by the date at the top, right below the title. That is the date the casting portion was posted.

Oddly enough, the description has not been updated since the pilot, lol. I think you may be the only one to notice that in the past year! Nice job. I did fix that. 🙂
