Featured Roles for “RJ Decker” Pilot in Wilmington, NC
ABC has ordered a pilot for a new TV show called “RJ Decker” which is based on the book by writer Carl Hiaasen. This is set to be a 1 hour show, if it goes past the pilot episode.
The upcoming pilot RJ Decker, filming in Wilmington, NC, is seeking local talent for several highly featured background and specialty roles. Selected individuals must be available for early call times and up to 12-hour shoot days.
According to ABC, the “RJ Decker” show’s plot goes as follows:
“RJ Decker, disgraced newspaper photographer and ex-con, starts over as a private investigator in the colorful-if-crime-filled world of South Florida, tackling cases that range from slightly odd to outright bizarre with the help of his journalist ex, her police detective wife, and a shadowy new benefactor, a woman from his past who could be his greatest ally… or his one-way ticket back to prison.”
Roles and Dates:
- Rhoda: Latina female, late 20s–late 30s. Must be comfortable in tight spaces for several minutes. Needed for still shoots between July 10–17. Pay: $250/12.
- Maya: Latina or ethnically ambiguous female with dark features, late 20s–30s. Needed for still shoots between July 10–17. Pay: $250/12.
- Lucas (Revised): African American male, preppy/clean-cut, age 18–mid-20s. Needed August 4. Pay: $96/8 + $50 bump.
- Florida Man Headliner: Male of any ethnicity/age with a rugged look and removable dentures or missing teeth. Needed July 23 (possible paid makeup/denture test prior). Pay: $96/8 + $50 bump.

Needed July 23rd, may be needed for Make up test or “denture test” (paid on a standard voucher) prior to filming day.
Looking for a male, any ethnicity, any age, someone who looks as though they have LIVED life! Those submitting should have removable dentures or missing teeth. You will not be considered for this role if you do not fit the criteria.
