Woodland Theatre Company will hold open auditions for “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” on Wednesday, June 16th at 7:00pm, with callbacks on Thursday, June 17th at 7:00pm. ALL ROLES AVAILABLE. Auditions will be held at the Sherborn Community Center, 3 Sanger Road, Sherborn, MA. No appointment is necessary. Please prepare one minute of a musical theatre song that shows you at your best, and bring sheet music in the appropriate key as piano accompaniment will be provided. No a cappella auditions. You may be asked to read from the script. Sides will be provided at the audition.
This multi-Tony award winning musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim will be directed and choreographed by Doug Hodge. Musical Direction, TBA. Rehearsals begin August 24th and continue every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evening from 7pm – 10pm until September 16th. Tech rehearsals are Monday, September 20th through Thursday, September 23rd from 7pm – 11:30pm. Performance dates are September 24th & 25th at 8:00pm and September 26th at 3:00pm. This is a non-Equity production and there is no pay.
