The Valley Repertory Co. will hold auditions for its Second LabWorks 15-Minute New Play Contest on Sun., December 5 ,1 p.m. Auditions are at 100 High St., Enfield, CT. Those auditioning should be available for callbacks on Dec. 8, 7 p.m. Rehearsals will be Sun. afternoons and Wed. evenings. Production dates are Feb. 17-20, 2011. The production will feature 12 short plays by authors from around the country. Four directors will direct 3 plays each. Directors are Becky Beth Benedict, Paul DiProto, Charles Schoenfeld, and Bruce Showalter. Each director will have a small cast of actors, each of whom will likely appear in two of that director’s three plays. Actors will get to showcase their skills, playing multiple roles in a dynamic production. All plays will be Connecticut premieres and several are world premieres. Actors will be reading sides.
