We’re collecting submissions for Episode 14005 of Chicago PD. There are some director-selected roles at the very bottom of this post.
FOR GENERAL SUBMISSIONS: PLEASE USE THE GOOGLE FORM IF POSSIBLE. We open every email submission and manually transfer your info and availability to a spreadsheet, so we strongly encourage you to use the form instead of emailing your submission. If you receive an error message, please try the following troubleshooting tips:
• Clear your cache / cookies (if you use Safari)
• Try using Chrome
• Try using a laptop instead of a phone
This submission form is for general background roles, which means they’re open to any gender, any ethnicity, ages 9 and older WITHIN THE CHICAGOLAND AREA (2 hrs of Chicago). **IF SUBMITTING A MINOR (AGES 9-15): Please submit your child via email (cpdbackground@gmail.com; subject line “EPISODE 14005 MINOR”) with the following info included:
• Minor’s name
• Parent/guardian’s name
• Parent/guardian’s cell phone #
• Zip code
• Minor’s age
• Minor’s height/weight
• Minor’s clothing sizes: (t-shirt, pants, shoe). If wearing adult sizes, please use the size template below
• Attach a copy of the minor’s work permit
Teens ages 16+ can use the availability form, if preferred.
General background roles pay $136.40/8. The pay rate is a flat rate for any time worked up to 8 hours (it is not an hourly rate), with time + 1/2 after 8 hours. If we book you with your vehicle to be parked on set, there will be a $35 bump added to your pay. Pay for minors (ages 9-15) is $160/8. Teens aged 16 and older receive the adult (general) BG rate.

You can submit via email, however, it is preferred that you use the Google form. Please only submit 1 way / 1 time. You do not need to use the availability form and send an email. Please choose one or the other.

– PHOTOS: Please submit a headshot or a full length photo that reflects your current look/hairstyle. DO NOT APPLY FILTERS, DO NOT SEND A PROFESSIONAL HEADSHOT.
– TATTOOS: Please provide photos of ALL tattoos that can be seen in a short sleeve t-shirt. This includes face/neck, arms, and hands/fingers. If you do not have tattoos, state NO TATTOOS. **If you submit via the Google form, we will reach out to obtain your tattoo photos at the time of booking.
-AVAILABLE DATES: Please list all available dates between Friday 9/4 and Wednesday 9/16. We do not film on weekends (M-F only). Call times are usually early in the morning (unless otherwise noted) and filming days typically last 8-12 hours. We will have some night shoots this episode. Please let us know if you DO NOT want to be considered for filming if the wrap time is midnight or later. Do not submit availability for the day if you have any time constraints. We are off Monday 9/7 for Labor Day.

Role: We are looking for a CAUCASIAN FEMALE, 20s, to play a victim of a car crash with a very bloody head. Must be comfortable with prosthetics and SPFX blood. The injury will be pretty gruesome.

Role: We are looking for CAUCASIAN MALES AND FEMALES, 20s-30s, to come in for mugshots (still photos) in advance of the episode filming. These folks work for a drug dealer, so we’re looking for background who can play slightly more nefarious/shady types.

Role: We are looking for a CAUCASIAN FEMALE, 20s-30s, who can play a very flirty bartender. This is a non-speaking role, so your body language / pantomimed interaction with cast will give the vibe of someone interested in the other person.

Role: We are looking for a CAUCASIAN MALE, 30s, REDHEAD, with a BLUE COLLAR LOOK. You’ll be playing the friend of a cast member, who ends up on the wrong side of a crime. Must be comfortable with prosthetics and SPFX blood (you will be playing a dead body).
