Musical Theater Auditions – “Stalk” the Musical | Chicago

La Costa Theatre Company is holding auditions for non-equity performers for “Stalk the Musical”
The play is a new musical that requires emotionally flexible actors with great singing voices.

Stephen Gawrit – Playwright/Producer

Casting:
Young Male 20-30 for the lead part of Jack- a young mistreated dreamer.
Mature Actress (play 55-65 or older) for the part of Grandma/ Fairy Godmother- sees Jack as a source of redemption for the way she raised.
Gregory, Jack’s father; Male (30- 40) for the part of Gregory- former aspiring LA rock guitarist now small town butcher. Movement and puppeteer experience is a plus. This great new work of magical realism focuses breaking the cycle of abuse that come with the loss of ones dreams.

Auditions will be held 10- 4pm on AUG 21

There is pay

36 rehearsals not including 3 days of tech. Performances start with a Charity Preview OCT 26 and runs through DEC 4 with a possible extension through DEC 18.

Prepare: One dramatic Monologue under 2 minutes; 16 bars of musical theatre song and 16 bars of a rock based song of your choosing that shows range and emotional connection.
