Auditions at the Manhattan Movement & Arts Center in New York City
Saturday March 12 at 11:30 registration
Auditions for company and apprentice members for the 2011-2012 season to start in August 2011 for company members and June 2011 for apprentices will take place on Saturday March 12 at the MAnhattan Movement and Arts Center on 248 w 60th street in New York City.
Please bring a face shot , dance photo, resume and $30 for a full class audition.
Women will be seen on pointe at the end of class and men be prepared to partner.
The Atlantic City BAllet, a 501 ( c) 3 organization, does five different programs a year in a 22 week contract season. The company starts in the beginning of August and finishes in the middle to end of March. The company supplies living quarters for dancers and apprentices. ACB can supply foreign dancers with visas. The company performs in New York City in the FAll and Spring, the Hamptons in Long Island, NY, through out New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The Artistic Director is Phyllis Papa formerly with American Ballet Theatre, The first American to join the Royal Danish BAllet, Principle with Stars of American BAllet and received the 1998 Brazilian Gold Medal of Honor.
Dancers auditioning will be given a full class to show their skills. Be at the audition by 11:30 to register.
