WCT Touring Children’s Theatre

The Wichita Children’s Theatre Professional Touring Company is looking for actors for our 2010-2011 Acting Company. Auditions will be held at WCT, 201 Lulu, Wichita, KS, on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. Other dates may be available upon request.
Those auditioning should prepare a short monologue, under two minutes long, which displays an ability to relate to children. Also needed are two vocal selections, about sixteen bars each—one up-tempo and one ballad—that display vocal performance abilities. An accompanist will be provided. Please bring a resume and head shot.
The Touring Company is a full-time company which tours a six-state region (Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas) performing musical productions for children from October through February, presenting over 150 performances and educational workshops. This season the productions will be: THE THREE BILLY GOATS GRUFF and a Kansas history piece entitled KANSANS KAN.
If you are unable to come in person, we encourage you to send an audition video and/or a resume, head shot, and a letter describing yourself, your personal history and your hopes and plans for the future.
The salary is comparable to other professional theatres’ offerings, plus a daily per diem when on the road. Hotel expenses are also covered by WCT.
