Marvel’s “The Thunderbolts” has a casting call out for paid background actors who have some time to work on set to fill movie extras roles.
The new marvel movie is now filming in Georgia and is currently casting Atlanta locals who would love a chance to work on set of the Marvel’s “The Thunderbolts” to fill small non speaking roles. All roles are paid.
Marvel’s “The Thunderbolts” is filming under the odd working title of “Oops all berries.” Thunderbolts is one of the most anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) films in the pipeline and the storyline has been kept under wraps but rumor has it that the film will about a group of anti-heroes. The movie was announced a few years back but like so many other big budget productions, has been delayed to the industry strikes of last year.
New Superman Movie Casting Call for Extras in Georgia
In addition to the production delays, Thunderbolts has undergone some significant changes in its casting lineup. Originally, Steven Yeun was tapped to lead the film, reportedly portraying the comic book hero Sentry. However, due to conflicting schedules, Yeun has departed from the project. Stepping into the role is Lewis Pullman, who was in Top Gun: Maverick.
According to reports on EW, Emmy winner Ayo Edebiri was slated to join the cast in an undisclosed role. However, similar scheduling conflicts led to her departure from the film. In her place, Geraldine Viswanathan, best known for her role in Blockers, has been brought on board.

These adjustments in filming schedules and casting highlight the challenges faced by the film industry amid the strikes. While Thunderbolts has faced setbacks, it’s not the only prominent project affected by the disruptions as many movies will be missing their original release dates this summer and most likely will be released next year, including Marvel’s “The Thunderbolts” which has a new release date which as of a few weeks back was slated for May 2nd 2025.
