Auditions | Theatre SF Bay Area for 2010

The New Conservatory Theatre Center is pleased to announce auditions for their 2009-2010 Pride Season production of Master Class by Terrence McNally, and directed by Arturo Catricala.

About the show:
Opera diva Maria Callas, a glamorous, commanding, larger-than-life, caustic, and surprisingly drop-dead funny pedagogue, is teaching a voice master class. Alternately dismayed and impressed by the students who parade before her, she retreats into her recollections about the glories of her own life and career.

Casting the following roles (Non-AEA ONLY):
Anthony Candolino (Tony, Tenor): Male, 20’s – early 30’s. Tenor. Attractive and flirtatious; confident verging on cocky. Serious about becoming an artist. A good listener. Performer must be a strong, classically trained operatic tenor or strong singer. Must be able to sing Cavaradossi’s first act aria from Puccini’s Tosca, “Dammi I colori”.

General Auditions: By Appointment only

Where: The New Conservatory Theater Center 25 Van Ness @ Market, Lower Level.

Prepare: Please prepare the aria in which the character you plan to audition for, sings. A side will be provied for you when you submit your headshot and resume.

*An accompanist will be provided*

Pay: $650.00 (inclusive with rehearsals and performances and non-negotiable)
