Short film THE ANNIVERSARY, produced by award-winning production company Logan Circle Films, is seeking three principal characters, al in their late 20’s – 30’s (early 40’s a possibility).
VANESSA: Female, dark-haired, fair-skinned. She knowingly and skillfully plays the coquette and seductress to Michael, for a purpose unknown to anyone but herself.
MICHAEL: Male, dark-haired, with strong, intellectual features. He is a modestly successful fiction writer, telling stories of debauchery and decadence. Has been obsessed with Vanessa for ten years but sublimates his passion for her into his stories.
THOMAS: Vanessa’s husband, lighter-haired (than Michael), average- looking, diffident. Has always been nervous about his hold over Vanessa, who seems to take him for a fool.
Genre: Dark comedy inspired in part by Leopold von Sacher-Masoch’s novella “Venus In Furs.”
Logline: When Michael gets a call from Vanessa, the object of his obsession for the past ten years, he thinks his dreams are about to come true.
Auditions will be held in February and March in the DC area. Filming will start in May. Union and non-union talents are welcome to submit.
