Disney companies, Walt Disney Parks is holding UK auditions for vocalists
Casting Male and Female Vocalists for the Tokyo Disney Resort. The auditions will be held next week in London, England. The auditions are for Disney Tokyo Resort and the company is covering travel expenses and apartment rentals as part of the contract for chosen actors.
Six to eight month contracts begin August/September 2010. Performers receive $590 – $930 (US dollars) per week (depending on role and show), per diem, round trip travel, private apartments, 5-day work weeks, and the chance to experience one of the world’s most fascinating and vibrant cities.
Walt Disney Parks & Resorts, in association with Oriental Land Company (OLC), is seeking Principal Vocalists for an incredible array of live entertainment at Tokyo Disneyland® Park and Tokyo DisneySea® Park.

40s-style Male Vocalist: Male, late 20s-40s, African American or Caucasian, 5’10”+, thin to average build, seasoned principal vocalist for “Big Band Beat”, a large-scale musical where the Cotton Club meets Big Band Swing, performed with a live orchestra, handsome and charismatic, can command a stage with his star quality and charm, moves well, tap a plus, Baritone/Tenor to a G. 40s-style Female Vocalist: Female, 20s-30s, Caucasian, 5’3″-5’8″, slender build, epitome of ’40s glamour, charismatic with strong stage presence for “Big Band Beat”, a large-scale musical where the Cotton Club meets Big Band Swing, performed with a live orchestra, moves well, tap a plus, Soprano/Belt. Blues Singer: Female, 20s-40s, African American, 5’3″-5’8″, slender build, glamorous and beautiful, charismatic with strong stage presence for “Big Band Beat”, a large-scale musical where the Cotton Club meets Big Band Swing, performed with a live orchestra, moves well, tap a plus, Belt. Latin-style Pop Tenor: Male, 20s-30s, Latino, 5’9″+, slender to normal build, good physique, pop idol looks and great charisma for “Minnie, Oh Minnie!”, a Latin-flavored revue, moves well, ability to sing in Spanish a plus, Pop Tenor to A flat. ($840 U.S. dollars per week plus per diem)

Performers bring exciting, up close entertainment to guests through shows that range from a ’40s Big Band Revue, to a visually stunning live show celebrating the mystic rhythms of the jungle, to a rousing, fun-filled musical featuring Cinderella, Snow White, Prince Charming and many others.
Requirements: Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and willing to relocate to Tokyo for the terms of their individual contracts. Please bring two copies of your current photo and resume. Vocalists: Prepare two contrasting vocal selections (best 16 bars of each) which reflect the style of the show for which you are auditioning. You must bring sheet music in the correct key; an accompanist will be provided. Be prepared to learn a movement combination. Advanced registration is not required as this is an open call.
