Disney is holding an open audition for their Tokyo Disney Resort in the Los Angeles area of N. Hollywood. The audition is for female aerialist (Dancers and Stunts) performers who would like to perform in Tokyo.

Walt Disney Parks & Resorts, in association with Oriental Land Company (OLC) is seeking Female Aerialists for the role of Ariel in the Under the Sea show at Tokyo Disney Sea® Park.

Inside a wooden hull of a sunken ship, guests will enjoy Under the Sea, a one-of-a-kind live musical “Liquid Theater” experience featuring Ariel and her pals, as well as dazzling puppetry, colorful costumes, and amazing special effects. S

ix to eight month contracts begin August/September 2010.

Performers receive $740 (US dollars) per week per diem, round trip travel, private apartments, 5-day work weeks, and the chance to experience one of the world’s most fascinating and vibrant cities.

Seeking the following role:

Female Aerialists: 5’0”-5’6”, strong aerialist experience (2-point harness) and/or training to portray Ariel in “Under the Sea”, an interactive retelling of the classic Disney animated feature The Little Mermaid where guests journey into the depths of the ocean while Ariel and friends “swim” above, strong abdominal/back muscles, beautiful port de bras, no fear of heights. ($740 U.S. dollars per week plus per diem)

Requirements: Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and willing to relocate to Tokyo for the terms of their individual contracts. Please bring two copies of your current photo and resume. Wear appropriate dance attire/shoes and be warmed-up and ready to begin at the listed time. Please note, height requirements are strictly adhered to. Advanced registration is not required as this is an open call.
