GRITS (Girls Raised In The South): The Musical
“Girls Raised in the South-GRITS: The Musical” is holding auditions in Nashville, Tennessee on Monday, April 12th and Tuesday April 13th from 2pm-7pm by appointment.

“GRITS: The Musical” is an original musical production that tours throughout the United States. It is based on the best-selling book, “GRITS: Friends are Forevah!” For more information about the production and video and audio clips of the show, please visit www.gritsthemusical.com
This production is produced by McGee Communications and Entertainment (www.mcgeecomm.net) and is in its second season of touring. It is a 4 woman show made up of monologues and songs all depicting different aspects of Southern women’s lives.
All positions are paid.
There are three roles available. Descriptions are as follows. Touring will begin late August and run sporadically throughout the fall and spring:
• Virginia- 50-ish Caucasian woman, soprano (as if she could have older children or possibly grandchildren)
• Florence-(sassy belter)40-ish African American woman, alto
• Charlotte-(bubbly and energetic, as if she was maybe just out of college) 20-ish Caucasian woman alto
