Calling all Dayton and Miami Valley talent! Volunteer actors, dancers and poets are invited to audition for the theatrical play, “Three Days”, a faith-based musical drama based on Gospel Scripture Mark 15:37-39. What happened to the centurion after his surprising discovery of faith on the day of Jesus’ crucifixion? “Three Days” is a theoretical tale depicting the effects that Jesus’ crucifixion had on this man and his family.
Actors and Poets will be asked to present one memorized monologue (2-4 minutes) and, if they sing, one song performed acappella. May also be asked to read from the script. Dancers will be asked to present a brief interpretive/liturgical dance (2-4 minutes). Youth under the age of 18 must have written parental permission to audition and perform (under 16, parent must also accompany the child throughout the audition process).
Multiple speaking and non-speaking parts for men and women of all ages will be cast immediately for the production (public performance), scheduled for Good Friday, April 22, 2011. Excellent ministry opportunity and resume experience for aspiring performers.
