Auditions for “Daddy Don’t Leave” Tour
Praize Entertainment in conjunction with TJS Productions will host auditions for Tony Smith’s second original play, Daddy Don’t Leave, from 5 pm – 9pm. on Thursday, June 2nd and Friday, June 3rd at the Attractive Alternative located at 510 E Washington, Bloomington, IL 61701.
This aw-inspiring dramatic comedy will begin its three city tour in Peoria, IL July 7 – 10.
The show tells the story of the Tillman’s. Theo and Jackie Tilman appeared to have the perfect marriage, neither one expected to find themselves in the middle of a divorce. Not only was this a surprise to husband and wife, but equally surprised were Theo Jr. and Taylor; two tragic victims to the brutality of divorce. Forced to suffer from the mistakes of their parents; these innocent bystanders find themselves trapped between a world they knew, a loving and nurturing home, and the world they will come to know, a broken family. Had Theo and Jackie forgotten that their marriage affected not only them, but also their children? But is there still time to salvage what was? Or are the Tilman’s doomed to the all too common phenomenon of divorce? Can Theo’s, retired minister Dad, and the hilarious tell-it-like-it- is, Mrs. Bernadine help them to truly understand the impact of their decisions?
We are seeking a total of 11 actors, including nine adults (5 male, 4 female) and two children (1 male, 1 female). The cast will include actors of all types and ethnic backgrounds. Actors must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for one of the adult roles in this production, at least 8 years of age to be considered for the child roles. Actors will be compensated.
