I am 26 and have been diagnosed with PTSD due to significant trauma. It has affected how I function as an adult in my hometown. I am terrified of running in to people I know, working with the public, being in public. So many triggers are street signs, locations, smells & people. I am also the person who will stare at a little Debbie cherry pie and go into another world mentally because it reminds me of my dad. The two significant traumas were opposite of each other – one was from being a victim in an armed robbery & the other was witnessing where my dads body was found and having to clean his home & the spot on my own. It is a train wreck of emotions and I am not getting better. Because of this I have struggled with addiction, memory loss, emotional outbursts, sleep issues & more to the point I should be on disability but I am terrified of being deemed disabled so I keep pushing through it.

I suffer from something called borderline personality disorder. I have never been normal and this is something that makes day to day living extremely difficult. I hope one day to be normal. Not a lot of people even know what BPD is, I would love to fix my problems and also raise awareness .
