OPEN AUDITIONS: Actors for short film, “If Joy Comes”
Actors needed in the Akron/Cleveland area for a ten minute short film, If Joy Comes. This film is set to be shot on weekends during mid October.

The open call will be held in Akron, Ohio this Saturday, October 1st at from 10:00am to 5:00pm at the following location.

If Joy Comes is about a woman who struggles to come to grips with her long-time unresolved issues in the recent death of her abusive father.
ABOUT US: Miki Blak is a Writer/Director with over ten years of experience Broadcast Television. She is now ready to make her leap onto the silver screen.
ROLES NEEDED FOR “IF JOY COMES”:
KAYLA, the lead: We need an African-American actress to play with a playing range of between 25 – 30 years approx, please.
GROUNDSKEEPER: We’re looking for an African-American actor with a playing range in his early 50’s. He is sincere and has a quiet gentle nature, but there is something uneasy about him. He is clearly hiding something.
PAUL: with a playing range in his early 50’s. We are looking for an African-American actor. He will play Paul, a man of few words and a rough and unforgiving appearance.
We’d love this to be a paying film – but we are funding this entirely out of our own pockets (so are not getting paid ourselves!).
We are offering a copy of the film and food and drink will be provided on the shoot. We hope to offer IMDB credits, as the finished film will be entered into several film festivals and showcased on the website mikiblak.com.
