Synopsis:
Jim has just returned after multiple deployments in Afghanistan as a member of the US Army. He seems fine on the outside but something is amiss. Small triggers and situations cause violent outbursts and harmful behavior. Jim’s family is affected and harmed by this behavior. To cope with his problems Jim relies on alcohol, prescription drugs, and isolation. As Jim’s life spirals downward and he cannot forget the past nor get the noise of combat out of his head. He contemplates suicide to stop the pain. The film is a realistic depiction of people dealing with post traumatic stress disorder.
Character BIOS
[JIM] [GENDER: MALE] [AGE: 26-28]
He is the protagonist who returns from a tour of Afghanistan for the US Army. He has been on multiple combat deployments and returns home to deal with returning back to a normal life and his family. He has a wife and a daughter. He is haunted by the violence of war and cannot seem to forget it. He uses alcohol and prescription pills to suppress his thoughts, pain and his violent outbursts. Actor must depict a military bearing, attitude and have the military personal appearance.

Becky is a modern, loving military wife who has waited for Jim anxiously to return from his latest combat deployment. She has taken care of their daughter and is very happy to see Jim on his return. She is trying to support her husband but does remain independent and is very confused about his outbursts of violence.
[Emma] [GENDER: FEMALE] [AGE: 4-6]
Emma is Jim and Becky’s daughter. She is also happy to see her father however she witnesses the violent outburst between her parents and has emotional reactions to the situation.
[Bartender] [GENDER: MALE] [AGE: 40-60]
He is a friendly neighborhood bartender.
[Diner Owner] [GENDER: MALE] [AGE: 40-65]
He is a friendly owner of a neighborhood diner. He knows Jim and thanks him for his service and portrays a long time relationship with Jim.
[Diner Patrons] [GENDER: MALES] [AGE: 24-32] [3 people]
A couple enthusiastic excited patrons of the diner, having fun and being care free whose actions trigger an outburst of violence in Jim.
[Gas Station Car People] [GENDER: MALES/FEMALES] [AGE: 25-45]
2 people driving in a car who cut Jim off for a spot at the service station’s gas pump. Their actions result in a confrontation with Jim.
