“The Avengers”, which opens in May 2012 will be shooting in Cleveland, Ohio in August and September 2011. The film is seeking thousands of paid extras for crowd scenes and many other scenes that will be used in the film.
The Avengers brings together superheroes from previous films into one movie. The film will star Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man,Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Chris Evans as Captain America, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk, Scarlett Johansen as Black Widow and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye.

Casting for “The Avengers” will be from noon to 4 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, at the Holiday Inn Independence, 6001 Rockside Road, off Interstate 77.
Interested people should dress in their “best business executive outfit” and be well-groomed.
The studio said all prospective extras must be at least 18 years old and should bring a pen to fill out an application.
Photos will be taken at the casting.
So there is no way that anyone under the age of 18 can be an extra in this film? I am 15 years old and am a huge fan. All i want to do is be an extra in a crowd scene or city scene. I don’t even need to be paid, i just want to be apart of this film.
I have a young daughter, whos name is tessa, she is the youngest of my seven children I believe that she is very gifted little girl,and you might just think that i say that because she is my daughter,But then again in my house hold girls out number the boys, so there is always lots of drama, but i do really believe given the chance she would shine.
