Storyline:
Hannah misses her best friend. When she runs from her foster home and crosses the country to pay Kayleigh a surprise visit, she quickly descends into the mania of her old roommate flipping between bouts of hysterical laughter and fits of terror. The uncle she lived with has left town and her boyfriend controls her every move. Hannah insists on staying but Kayleigh begs her to go home, to avoid repeating the mistakes that she has made. As the police arrive at their door, both girls need saving and they both have everything to lose. When Hannah’s friend makes the ultimate sacrifice to get her home, Hannah goes home with the legacy of two lives to honor.
Hannah
16 years: She could get attention from boys if she stopped hiding behind her unwashed hair. A rambunctious moper, her sensible streak frustrates her desire for delinquency.
Kayleigh
18 years: Always gets the boy, but always rejects him. Fiercely independent, she insists that she needs nothing but her home. She proves her strength to her abusive boyfriend by never crying in front of him.
Jason
around 30: Asserts the power he has running his real estate business in his home life, just without the civility. Men respect him; his family need him; his girlfriend obeys him.
FOSTER MOTHER (name TBA)
50s/60s: She fosters hundreds of children while her husband works. She has seen it all, and tackles the toughest situations without hesitation or patience for cowardice.
Officer Zuwoski
40s/50s: An imposing figure with a soft heart. Takes the rules surrounding his job as a trooper very seriously, and believes that they can help and punish with equal fairness
