Auditions for “Dance Disco Heat Show”

Casting Call: We are looking for 2 female vocalists and 2 male dancers/actors for the world premiere of Dance Disco Heat, a disco tribute/musical based on the life of the Fabulous Sylvester. The show will open at the Richmond Triangle Theatre (1300 Altamont Avenue, Richmond, VA) in July 2012.
2 Female Vocalists: With soulful/gospel background/strong vocal ability/belter. Knowledge of disco music-style a plus. For audition, please prepare two musical selections (1 slow and 1 upbeat). CD player and pianist will be provided.
2 Male Dancers/Actors: Knowledge of disco-style a plus. Please prepare an upbeat dance solo (any style) to recorded track (CD player will be provided).
Some speaking/Acting will be required in performance.
All auditioning, please bring headshot and résumé.
Vocal auditions will be held at the Gay Community Center of Richmond (1407 Sherwood Avenue, Richmond, VA) on Saturday, February 25 from 10 a.m. 4 p.m., and Dance/Acting auditions will be held on Sunday, February 26 from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. In the event of scheduling conflicts, special arrangements can be made.
