Tryout for NBC Fashion Star 2012 / 2013 season

Do you have what it takes to be the next Fashion Star? Can you design great ready to wear pieces? Here is your chance to find out. Fashion Star is looking for designers. You can be unknown, up and coming or already established. It doesn’t matter as long as you can create Ready-To-Wear clothing that will impress the buyers!

NBC FASHION STAR IS ONCE AGAIN SEARCHING FOR THE NEXT BIG BRAND IN FASHION!! The series will give 12 unknown fashion designers who range in experience the chance to win a multi-million dollar prize to launch their own collections in three of America’s largest retailers!

Open casting calls for NBC’s The Fashion Star are scheduled for June and July 2012. The show is looking for designers to compete on the new season of this NBC show. Do you have a collection that will appeal to the buyers? If you do, tryout for the show for a chance to get your collection not only onto national TV but also into the large clothing chains and department stores.

Fashion Star is a reality TV fashion design series that is hosted by Elle Macpherson. Fashion Star is different from other fashion reality shows in that the designers not only need to design great pieces, but they also must sell their pieces to fashion buyers that represent top retailers such as Macy’s, Saks and H&M. The designers who fail to sell the buyers are up for elimination and every week one designer goes home. The designs that are bought are available for purchase at the retailer who purchased the design. Along the way the designers are mentored by Jessica Simpson, Nicole Richie, and John Varvatos.

The designer who wins the show will receive a huge prize, a collection worth millions at each of the three stores that are participating in the show.
