Audition for 18 Pittsburgh region theatre companies and be part of bringing a new one act play to life for the very first time! You can join New Works and become part of its 22 year legacy of bringing world premiere plays to the Pittsburgh community.
There are over 60 roles available. Actors of all types and experience levels are needed. This year’s plays range from over the top farce to incredibly dark drama. There’s something for everyone! The Festival is committed to diversity in both script selection and in casting. Actors of all ages, sizes, races, ethnicities, genders, and sexual orientations are actively encouraged to audition.
Actors should prepare a contemporary monologue of 2 minutes or less in length. Actors cast in mainstage shows will be paid an honorarium of $25.
