THIS WEEKEND – Annual Auditions for Spirit of Philadelphia performing staff!!
A great, fun, flexible and ideal position for people interested in maintaining a theatre career while holding a steady job that is still related to their musical interests! We are looking for upbeat, dynamic and fun individuals that enjoy interacting with the guests and who can sell a song to join our performing staff for our 2012 season. You will be joining our current staff on our $1.5 million renovated boat!
Our next scheduled auditions will be held on our ship on Sunday March 18th and Monday March 19th. Audition times for March 18th are from 4-8pm and on March 19th from 10am-2pm. This is an open call, no appointments are necessary, but please fill out an application at www.spiritofphiladelphia.com/Philadelphia/Auditions prior to auditioning. PLEASE NOTE: OUR BOAT WILL BE IN A DIFFERENT LOCATION THAN NORMAL!! We will temporarily by located further up Penns Landing by the Blue Cross River Rink ice skating. The address is 3 N. Columbus Blvd. You may park in that lot or up by Market or Chestnut Street and walk down to the boat.
Memorize a portion or 16 bars of an up-tempo selection and a ballad of your choice. (Songs should be contrasting in style and you may bring whole songs). Please bring a CD or a flash drive with tracks without lead vocals (Instrumental Tracks). A sound system with a cd player/flash drive/ MP3 capabilities will be available. If you are bringing a CD, please double check to make sure your CD does work on a device other than a computer. A cappella singing will not be permitted. A headshot and resume are welcome but are not mandatory.
