AUDITIONS: A Slow Ride
Joseph Reed Hayes and the 13in13 Project will hold auditions for a director and three female roles for the upcoming production of A Slow Ride, a new one-act. These are paying roles. The auditions will take place May 8. This is not a Fringe show. Performance dates: July 19-22 at 8 p.m.
AUDITION DATES AND TIMES: Wednesday, May 8 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Mandell Theatre at the Lowndes Shakespeare Center, 812 East Rollins St., Orlando.
Three generations of women take a Sunday ride, with all the tension, humor, affection and near-demented discord that arises when family is in close proximity for more than ten minutes.
Characters:
RITA: 17, a sarcastic Goth
JEZEBEL: her grandmother, 55-60, a hold-out hippie
SUE: the conventional mother in her late 30s, stuck in the middle.
All roles are available. Please bring a headshot and resume (which will not be returned). Auditions will consist of a prepared monologue (any genre) and a cold reading from the script. Callbacks are by invitation only.
