‘Les Miserables’ Dallas Theater Center – Paid

Dallas Texas Auditions for Musical “Les Miserables”

The Dallas Theater Center will be holding open auditions for paid performers, children 12 years of age or younger and adults. Auditions will be held for both union and non-union performers.

Les Misérables is based on the French historical novel of the same name by Victor Hugo – the novel explores the history, politics and social situations in 19 Century France. The novel has been turned into a musical as well as a film in recent years. The musical is set in early 19th-century France where a peasant Jean Valjean has just been released from prison where he served 19 years for stealing a loaf of bread. He subsequently breaks his parole and is swept up into revolution led by young idealists.

Les Miserables is a musical by Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg, Lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer. Casting is being done by Joel Ferrell and Tiffany Hobbs.
