The Hobbit parts 2 and 3 are now filming in NZ (New Zealand) and the film is casting extras. To apply to be an extra in “The Hobbit” you must live in and around the Wellington area and have current ID from NZ as well as be able to work there.
The second installment of the Hobbit called “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug” is due out in theaters in December 2013 and the third installment of the Hobbit trilogy should be out in 2014.
The film brings back Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins, Hugo Weaving as Elrond, Ian McKellen as Gandalf, Elijah Wood as Frodo Baggins, Andy Serkis as Gollum and Cate Blanchett as Galadriel. The films also introduce new characters in the adventure.
Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
