Open Call Auditions for a One Week Workshop of a New Drama called “The Kentucky Tragedy,” will be conducted on Friday, June 21, from 1PM to 5PM, at Champions Studios, 257 West 39 Street, 14 Floor, New York City. The play is based on the famous Beauchamp/Sharp Murder Trial of 1825. Multi-Racial Casting. All Ethnicities. Please bring Pix & Resume, and prepare a 3 minute Audition. CAST BREAKDOWN:

Anne Cooke: 25-35 years old. Leading Lady. Stately and beautiful. Betrayed by her suitor, she seeks solitude and redemption.

Jerry Beauchamp: 22-32 years old. Leading Man. Stable, self-sacrificing. Of the earth.

Ellen Reardon: 22-32 years old. Leading Lady. (Actress of Color) Anne Cooke’s best friend, critic and confidante. They grew up together.

John Pope: 25-50 years old. Leading man. Defense Attorney. Firm but calm temperement. Self assured.

Charles Bibb: 25-50 years old. Leading man. Prosecuting Attorney. At the center of a local crisis.

Nathaniel: 25-45 years old. (Actor of color.) Leading Man. Possessing a steady and generous nature. Homestead Foreman.

Petita: 20-25. Wiser than her years. Speaks her own truth to power.
