The new Reese Witherspoon film ‘Wild’ has begun filming in Oregon and extrasonly is seeking paid extras to work in Ashland and Bend.

The FOX Searchlight movie, ‘Wild’, which is produced by Reese Witherspoon stars Michiel Huisman (‘World War Z’), W. Earl Brown (‘The Lone Ranger’), Gaby Hoffman and Kevin Rankin. The new film is based on a book about a young woman who goes off on a hiking adventure, alone. The book written by Cheryl Strayed tells her story about her 1,000 mile hike on the Pacific Crest Trail. The hike was started after years of self-destructive behavior, her mother’s death and her divorce.

The film just began filming in Oregon last week and is expected to film in Portland, Bend and Ashland this month and next.

An extras casting call has been released and the film’s producers are looking a few hundred adults and also a few kids 4 to 7.

Filming will take place in Bend and Ashland. In Ashland they are seeking all types and ethnicities, they especially need hippies, deadheads, punk rockers, grunge, people with tattoos/piercings, dreadlocks, etc. In both locations they are looking for people who have older (before 1995) cars to be used in the film.

The movie is only looking for locals from those areas. Please do not apply if you do not live in Oregon. All extras will be paid. The pay rate is about minimum wage and extras should expect to work at least 8 hours on set.

be casting all the extras & featured background actors for the
feature film “Wild” based on the memoir by Cheryl Strayed,
starring Reese Witherspoon.

Extras Only is looking for people in BEND & ASHLAND.

IN BEND we are looking for people 25-50 years old. Especially
needing men with beards and shaggy hair to play hikers and people who
have vehicles (cars, trucks, jeeps,etc) that are pre 1995. Filming
will be in and around the Bend area in early to mid October and people will be
needed 1-3 days.

IN ASHLAND we looking for ALL TYPES of people but are especially
needing the following hippies, deadheads, punk rockers, grunge, people
with tattoos/piercings, dreadlocks, etc. While the majority of people cast
will be adults, they are also looking for some kids 4-7 years old. In addition,
they need people who have vehicles (cars, trucks, jeeps,etc) that are
pre 1995. They are looking to cast a couple hundred people! Filming will be in
Ashland for 1 day in late October.
