OACC is conveniently located in Oakland Chinatown next to Peony Restaurant on the 2nd floor of the Pacific Renaissance Plaza.
OACC is a 3 block walk from the 12th Street BART station, 7 block walk from Lake Merritt BART station, reachable by many AC Transit lines, and there is currently a parking special in the covered garage directly beneath the center – only $2 from 5pm – 11pm.

The Chinese Delivery Man is the award winning screenplay from screenwriter Isaac Ho. Inspired by true life events, it tells the story about a Chinese family in New York after the tragic death of one of their own and their search for justice or revenge, whichever comes first. This will be a one night staged reading with one rehearsal. Performers can expect to play multiple roles. This staged reading is being presented at the Oakland Asian Cultural Center.

American born Chinese son, Americanized. Loves baseball. Will cast teens or early twenties.
DETECTIVE JACKSON (late 50s).
African American. A professional but world weary.
NAM HOI (17 years old).
Overseas born Chinese. Struggles with English and American culture. Conversational Cantonese.
ICE AGENT CHIDESTER (40s).
White. Life long bureaucrat and desk jockey out to prove himself in the field.
FULLER (40s)/HUANG YIN (late 40s)
African American. Blue collar, working class guy./Chinese, balding, overweight, overworked. Conversational Cantonese.
AUDREY (20s)/SIOBHAN (20s).
Asian American. Fresh out of college. Optimistic./African American student teacher. Nam Hoi’s girlfriend.
NEELEY (40s)/TONY (60s).
African American, self made and wealthy, prefers to be feared rather than respected. Overseas born Chinese. Always knows more than he lets on. Probably an arch criminal hiding in plain sight. Conversational Cantonese.
LINDA (40s).
African American. College educated. Probably an office manager of a white collar office (law firm, etc).
SANFORD (20s).
White. Cynical, entitled know-it-all and privileged.
