FOX Batman series “Gotham” open call in NY

By | June 14, 2014

The new FOX crime series “Gotham” is now filming season 1 in NYC.

There will be an open casting call held in the New York City area for people who would like to appear as paid extras in the “Gotham” TV series that will be filming all through the summer. The open casting call will be held on June 25th and both SAG / Aftra members and non-union talent are welcome to apply.

Gotham is created by Bruno Heller and FOX has ordered the show’s first season on a ‘straight to series’ order rather than going through the usual TV pilot process. The Warner Bros TV show is now in production of the 13 episodes that FOX has ordered.

Gotham” will be directed by Danny Cannon(CSI). Bruno Heller (The Mentalist) is serving as the new show’s executive producer.

Open casting call for FOX's "Gotham"

Before there was Batman, there was GOTHAM.
The series is described as ”Gotham on the brink” and will be a cross between a police / crime series and a comic. Batman will not be its focus, Gordon will and the show will tell the tale of how Commissioner Gordon became who he is. It is set while Gordon is younger and not yet commissioner. IGN wrote a story about the new series plot which includes commentary from those involved.

Selina Kyle and Bruce Wayne in "Gotham"

The new series will Star Camren Bicondova and David Mazouz as the young Selina Kyle (Catwoman) and Bruce Wayne.  The show promises to bring in many of the familiar villains and tell the tales of their rise to power. The Penguin / Oswald Cobblepot will be a large part of the shows line-up of villains. Robin Lord Taylor (The Walking Dead, Another Earth) will take on the role of the very polite psychopath who works for the show’s main villain, Fish Mooney played by Jada Pinkett Smith.

GOTHAM is an origin story of the great DC Comics Super-Villains and vigilantes, revealing an entirely new chapter that has never been told. GOTHAM follows one cop’s rise through a dangerously corrupt city teetering on the edge of evil, and chronicles the birth of one of the most popular super heroes of our time.

I know they probably have someone in mind for Two Face but I would love the opportunity to try out for it one day. I am a 50% burn survivor. You can’t tell by my face because it healed so well but hopefully these photos show what could be so real for the show. Please feel free to contact me for photos of the scars or find me on Facebook.
