The new Hip Hop music oriented TV series “Empire” Casting Background Roles in Chicago, Illinois.
The new Lee Daniels series has got an extras casting call out for scenes that will be filming this coming weekend and next week. There are 2 notices released today, one for club types in their 20’s and 30’s and another for some sharp dressed men and women ages 40+.
The show should be premiering on FOX shortly and season one is still in production. Lee Daniels and Danny Strong, the team behind “Lee Daniels’ The Butler” are behind this project as well. The new television series shoots in Chicago and will also have an original soundtrack created by music producer, Timbaland.
“Empire” stars Terrence Howard as a music mogul who runs a family owned hip hop music company. The show will center on the family behind the music and their internal drama. The FOX Network describes “Empire” as a sexy and powerful drama about the inner workings of a Hip Hop record label.

Fox released the official show trailer some months back and mentions the premiere date will be in 2015.
