XI WANG DANCE COMPANY is currently working on a Chinese ethnic dance epic “Colorful Yunnan”. Yunnan province is in the southwest of China. It has 26 ethnic groups of people, each minority ethnic group has their own unique culture and dance art. “Colorful Yunnan” is created and choreographed based on their real life, working, religious sacrifice, men & women courtship etc to depict diversified multicultural ethnic groups vivid panorama of Yunnan ( ‘Yunnan’ means “a place beyond southern colorful cloud”).
We now need 20 male and 20 female dancers to fill in multiple roles in 7 ethnic dances. You don’t have to be a Chinese dancer to join this exiting production. We will teach you the authentic Chinese ethnic dances, include Dai Peacock Dance, Wa log drum hair-swing dance, Yi Moonlight dance etc.
It’s fun to dance! and you will have many performing opportunities as well.
