CLOSURE Logline

A young man in a dying town loses his wife but finds the strength to help the town heal and fulfill his wife’s final request.

CLOSURE Character Breakdown

Cam (mid-20s) brought his one true love, Sarah, back home from college so they could build a life together. But those dreams suddenly ended when a work-place shooting took her away from him. All that remains of their life together is one last chance for him to honor her final request

Steve (early 30s) is Cam’s older brother, and the last of Cam’s family left in town. Steve’s the hometown hero who went to work in the factory right after high school, and the one who got Cam and Sarah on at the factory with him. Now he has to overcome his own grief and feelings of guilt in order to help his brother heal.

Ben’s (early 30s) decision to outsource the town’s factory pushes it the breaking point. His sense of entitlement, and his family’s status, shield Ben from any sense of personal accountability or remorse.

The Judge (50-55), Ben’s brother, and also a member of the town’s founding family, is a fair man who is very serious about the letter of the law and his role as arbiter. A man endowed with considerable power, he still appreciates real justice and fairness provided by the law.

Sheriff (middle-aged) is a country, henpecked man, whose more of an old workhorse than a beacon of justice, someone who always manages to get off a zinger or two when they’re least expected.

Doctor (30-ish), is an outsider, working in town for a short stint so she can check off “rural doctor” on her resume.

Steve’s Lawyer (45-55)
