SISTER ACT NON EQUITY Open Call for the national tour of this very popular show.
Sister Act was a film released by Touchstone Pictures and directed by Emile Ardolino. The film was released in theaters in 1992 and starred Whoopi Goldberg. The original film was followed by a sequel and then was turned into a live stage show.
The movie inspired the musical Sister Act that premiered at the Pasadena Playhouse in Pasadena, California in 2006. When the show came out, it broke current box office records. The show grossed $1,085,929 and became the highest grossing show ever at the Pasadena Playhouse. The “Sister Act” musical later went on to be performed in other locations including the London Palladium. In 2011, “Sister Act” opened on Broadway at the Broadway and now the show will be holding open auditions for principal roles in the touring show.
Auditions will be held on SATURDAY, MAY 10, 2014 in North Hollywood California.
The show is looking for performers of all ethnicities to fill some lead roles as well as ensemble. Performers ages 20 to 60 are welcome to apply.
