“The Philadelphia Story” at The Southern Theater

Only A Dim Image Dessert Theatre will hold auditions for “The Philadelphia Story”
Tracy Lord, a beautiful, haughty socialite, and former wife of Dexter Haven, is on the brink of re-marrying. When a handsome tabloid reporter enters the scene, combined with a bit too much champagne, Tracy suddenly finds her cold, unforgiving exterior crumbling beneath the words and wits of the three men after her confused heart.
This classic play was the basis for the 1940 American romantic comedy film of the same name, starring Cary Grant, Katharine Hepburn, and James Stewart.
Sunday, October 5, and Monday, October 6, from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.
Auditions and rehearsals will take place at Dim Image Studio at 700 Commerce Drive, Suite 130 in Woodbury, MN – just off 94.
Callbacks, if necessary, will be held on Tuesday evening, October 7. The first all-cast meeting will take place Wednesday, October 8 at 7:00pm.
Performances will take place November 13-22 at The Southern Theater in Minneapolis.
Please prepare a monologue of your choice for the audition or you can just do a cold reading from the script which will also be available.
Remember to bring a headshot and resume, along with a list of scheduling conflicts between October 8 and November 13.
Please arrive 10 minutes early to your audition to fill out an audition form.
Rehearsals will begin October 8, and we will generally rehearse weeknights from 7:00-10:00pm with some Saturday mornings/afternoons.
Cast members will receive a $100.00 stipend.
